Eye Cream
– since the skin in the eye area is three times thinner than on the face and there are no oil glands, an eye cream is an essential investment. Also, the eye area is the first to show signs of aging and stress.
Serum
– ideal to begin using from the mid-twenties and above, serums will act as both a preventative and corrective treatment. Using a serum will help preserve collagen, firm, minimize fine lines and wrinkles and even out and brighten tone.
Hydrating lip balm
– the lips are often neglected and can chap, peel or burn just as easily as skin.
Choose an SPF for daytime and a hydrating formula containing ingredients such as Vitamin E, shea butter or almond oil for nighttime.
Electric Hair Remover
– better than using disposable razors, since hair is removed from the root.
Hair grows back finer and less noticeable and results can last for approximately 4-6 weeks.
Self Tanner
– especially important due to warnings about sun tanning and sun exposure, and helpful when transitioning from your winter to summer wardrobe. Use one for skin tone accordingly to each season (a lighter shade in winter, slightly deeper in summer) and alternate use with regular body lotion (use self tanner approximately 2-3 times per week, or as needed, to maintain color).
Deep Conditioner
– use once per week to maintain and repair the hair’s cuticle, preserve color for color treated hair and prevent split ends.
Hand Cream
– the hands, like the eyes and lips, tend to be overlooked and like the eye area, show visible signs of aging. Choose a formula with SPF when working outdoors, such as gardening, and use a formula with healing ingredients such as shea butter, grape seed extract (to brighten), Vitamin E or almond oil for nighttime.
