There are many different brands and types of electric razors for men. It most often depends on what you or the man you give the electric razor to, will be using it for. From basic shaving to trimming and styling, there are different things to look for when shopping for an electric razor for a man.

Shaving

If a man uses an electric razor for purely shaving, there are many brands that carry very basic electric razors for men. There are ones that can be used in the shower or used when the skin is wet. Check to see if the razor gives a close shave and how solidly the electric razor is assembled. There are many cheap electric razors available but sometimes they do not give that successful close shave. And most often, this will lead to discomfort while using it.

Facial Hair

There are different types of electric razors available for men who have facial hair as well. Many times these types of electric razors have different settings, which will allow for the facial hair to be the length that the man wants. When shopping for an electric razor for a man who has facial hair, be sure that the electric razor has different settings. If an electric razor does not have any specific settings than that type is one that is used for men who have no facial hair. These types of electric razors for men with facial hair also allows for styling of the facial hair for   mustaches or goatees. They are also good because you can also trim the hair on your head, neck or sideburns.

Chargeable Electric Razors

Many times a man uses an electric razor if they are on the go as well as when they are at work or at the gym. If shopping for an electric razor where this is what the man will be using it for, then it would be a good option to purchase a rechargeable electric razor. This kind of razor generally plugs into the wall and often also, has a charging dock so that the razor will have power when it is not plugged in. The charging life of the razor depends on the brand.

Check to see how long the battery life is. If the man is using the razor for work or after the gym,   than a short battery life razor can be a good choice. But if traveling and on the   go where the man does not have much time to charge the razor, than an electric razor with a longer battery life is the better purchasing choice.
