Beauty Bargains: We`ll Lead You to Them

Beauty Bargains: We`ll Lead You to ThemWe all know at least one person who’s constantly searching for bargains. After all, bargain hunting, can become a lifestyle and hobby in itself. However, some of us may equate the dollar amount on that bottle of night cream with its effectiveness; the more we spend the more results we see, right? Not always. Whichever side of the fence you’re on, we’ll share with you what the experts say about beauty bargains - what areas to spend money, versus what areas to save money.

Surprise, Surprise

Many big spenders will be surprised to learn that just because you spend a pretty penny on that jar of moisturizer, doesn’t mean that you`re buying quality. Many times you’re buying a name - a department store trend that’s latest on the hot-list of beauty. Moreover, you may be surprised and dismayed that you’ve spent money for results that you could have gotten from a simple and affordable drugstore brand. Surprised? We figured.

There are numerous drugstore brands that are underestimated by department store beauty-goers. In fact, many beauty experts concur that some of the best beauty products can be found at your local drugstore or chain and that, in these isles, most of the hot beauty trends are born. After all, some of the most beautiful faces in Hollywood endorse the use of these simple and affordable products. Now don’t get us wrong, department stores carry some great products, but taking the time to consider some of the more affordable mass brands could save you big bucks in the long run.

A few extra tips: Even though you’re not purchasing these products from a department store, don’t be afraid to test your products before you buy, and keep your receipt in case you get home and your skin disagrees with your choice.   Nowadays, many drugstores and chains are offering great online deals, so keep your eyes on the Internet as well, where you could save tons of money.

You Gotta Know When to Spend and When to Save

Health and beauty experts say that in order to learn how to be a better and more frugal beauty shopper, you’ve got to learn what areas to spend money and what areas to hold it. Logically, it’s always a good rule to spend more on products that will be on your face longer. For example, don’t spend fifty-dollars on a cleanser that touches your face for less than a minute and ten dollars on a night cream that spends the entire night on your skin. Make sense?

A Quick Word about Hair

If you’re considering a big change, such as going from long locks to short layers, this is a smart place to spend a little extra at a salon with an experienced stylist. Many of us know this type of regret, and too often it takes too long to get over and grow back. Another great tip about hair: if you’re not doing too much of an overhaul, don’t be afraid of student stylists and beauty colleges where you’ll find great prices and reliable training.
