This look will work especially well for those of you who aren’t fans of applying tons of foundation. If needed, use a light concealer to tackle any blemishes or to hide dark circles in the under eye area. Charlize’s soft and light look was achieved using a good quality liquid foundation all over. Next is blush. Choose a rose or pinkish shade and apply the blush to the outer apples of your cheeks using a large brush. Be sure to use long, graceful, sweeping strokes to brush the color along your cheekbones and up to your hairline. Finally, top it off with a loose powder.
Get Charlize’s sexy peepers by apply the entire lid with a gold or coppery shimmer eye shadow. For the crease, apply a dark gray or dark pink shade. Next, highlight your eyes with a flesh or pink shade under your arch. To get your eyebrows looking fabulous, add definition with powder in a color that is slightly darker than your hair color. The main focus should be on defining the arch but feel free to expand the brow color from there if needed. If you’ve got dark brows that are naturally full, just keep them well groomed and tweeze any stray hairs. Keep unruly brow hairs in place with a dab of gel.
When lining the eyes, use a black or black-brown shade to line the entire top lash line. As you get to the outer corner, use a steady hand to gracefully extend the line for a sultry winged look. To minimize harsh lines on the outer corner, you can use a small brush or sponge to softly blend the liner. You still want some definition to the line in order to maintain the winged/cat-eye effect, but it doesn’t need to be harsh. If you’re not much of a eyeliner expert, you can opt for using a smokey charcoal or black eye shadow dipped with a small, damp makeup brush to create the winged look that can be easily fixed if you make a mistake.
Instead of lining the bottom lash line with your eyeliner, instead use the same gold or copper eye shadow shade and dip a small, damp makeup brush into the eye shadow and softly apply it as liner to the bottom. This will make the top part of your eye makeup really pop. To ensure that both sides of your eye makeup are uniform, make it a habit to step back every so often and check your work in the mirror and make changes as necessary.
To make your eyelashes stand out, curl them prior to applying black or black-brown mascara. This will open up the eye area. Add one or two coats as needed. Using a lash comb helps to separate the lashes for a more natural look (this also helps to avoid any unsightly clumping).
For the lips, start off with a plum or raspberry color lip liner. Next, fill in the rest of your lips with a berry shade of lipstick and top it off with a high-shine pink gloss over the top to give your lips a lush and colorful look.
