Where’d she go? That’s the question everyone was asking when Gwyneth Paltrow’s name came up in conversation. While we may not know where she was, we certainly know that she is back. After avoiding the paparazzi and red carpet events for the past few years, Gwyneth is back and making a loud and clear fashion statement that is as refined and stylish as ever – even with the addition of some very peep-show inspired outfits.

Paltrow has long been praised for her good taste in clothing and accessories. While other celebrities are falling over from the weight of their borrowed gems, Gwyn is casually sporting a lone diamond encrusted bangle bracelet or a pair of chandelier earrings and little else. Her taste seems to reflect her personal style and she always appears to be as at-ease with what she’s wearing as she is with herself. You would not list her among those who dress to impress – although she certainly does.

When someone is talking about what Gwyneth wore or how she wore it, there is rarely much to say that is negative. Her impeccable taste and comfortable manner are always reflected in her clothing. She is also hailed as having an uncanny ability to choose an outfit that is remarkably appropriate yet still outstanding enough to be talked about. Take for instance the vintage Christian Dior gown in hot pink with a simple black wrap belt that she wore to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation party in New York City or the Gaultier Paris dress in nude with a black snow fence design overlay and netting over the shoulder that she wore to the Rome premier of Iron Man. That last dress was appropriate and not a bit too scandalous for Gwyn. It turned heads as have quite a few of her photo op dresses since she’s reappeared on the Hollywood scene.

Seems Ms. Paltrow is very into showing off a pair of toned legs in miniskirts and micromini dresses accompanied by high heels as of late. The premiers of Iron Man saw her showing quite a bit more leg than we’re used to seeing, but she managed to hold fast to her style and good taste even in a black Stella McCartney micromini dress with cutouts. It just goes to show that when you’ve got style…you’ve got it.

Even with her newfound bravery, Gwyneth has managed to maintain the same simplicity in her overall style as she has always shown in her accessories. Her hair and makeup remain au natural. Her hair is still loosely styled golden tresses and her makeup remains barely-there. The most you’ll be are smoky eyes and glossed lips.
