Nicole Ritchie proudly tells the press that her parents’ “way of making her happy was to say yes to everything I wanted.” When your parents are Lionel and Brenda Ritchie that statement goes a long way. Even though Nicole is the adopted daughter of the Ritchies, she was treated as their own from before the day she legally changed her last name. All that attention and privilege has created the woman she is today and she sure does love to be in the fashion limelight.

Growing up with Paris Hilton as a close friend must have some impact on your wardrobe and your sense of fashion. The two girls attended elementary school together and were probably sharing tiaras and Prada shoes at the age of six. Her love of dressing up and showing off has yet to diminish – it’s part of her signature style.

While the press has hounded her over the years about her extreme weight loss, she has still remained a style icon. Her wardrobe on the Simple Life and on the red carpet shows that she has an individual sense of style and loves to be seen displaying it. Even when she was pregnant with her first child, Harlow Winter Kate Madden, Nichole was rarely seen in anything less that photo worthy attire.

While Nicole has had a wild child past, she says that her daughter has made her realize how important it is to be mature. She plans to show that side of herself in the way she dresses, too. Revealing too much isn’t saying much for yourself, so you have to think about others’ perception and consider all the angles. Nicole has appeared in countless photos looking more down to earth, but with a wild edge that holds fast to her style and personality.

Nicole has a closet full of amazing clothes and shoes and she absolutely loves to shop and get dressed up. She says that she now wants to use her passion for even those simple things (like shopping and getting all dolled up) to make a difference. She had boyfriend Joel Madden have started multiple charity organizations and efforts to help underprivileged children. These days Ritchie is still the same girl she used to be, just with smoother edges and a more mature outlook on life. As for the tiaras and the Prada shoes – they aren’t going anywhere. Nicole loves being   fashionista and can’t wait to dress up baby Harlow in her first diamonds and pearls.
