Get Reese Witherspoon`s Hair

Get Reese Witherspoon`s HairBorn in New Orleans, Louisiana, Reese Witherspoon began her acting career as an actress in a made-for-TV movie called “Girls on the Beach.” From there she went on to earn her fame as Elle Woods, the cute and quirky blonde in Legally Blonde and Legally Blonde 2. This southern belle and mom of two wasn’t always a blonde, however. She’s actually a natural brunette who just happens to look fantastic as a blonde no matter how she chooses to wear it.

If you love Reese Witherspoon’s color and style as much as we do, keep reading to find out how to recreate the looks.

The Color

If you’re anything darker than a few shades of Reese’s current hair shade, you will want to have your hair colored by a professional colorist in order to get the job done right. If you don’t, you may end up with orange hair! If you’re only a shade or two darker than Reese’s color, you can try adding some highlights to achieve her multi-tonal shade.

To keep your color, you’ll want to use a shampoo and conditioner made for color treated hair. You may also want to use a deep conditioning mask at least once a week to retain moisture lost from harsh hair coloring chemicals.

The Style

If you’ve ever wanted to try one of Reese’s many hairstyles, well here’s your chance. Check out these fabulously easy updos.

·    Begin by using a shampoo and conditioner that is made for your hair type and then towel dry hair.

·    Next, apply a small amount of texturizing balm through the roots and ends of hair.

·    Turn hair upside down and blow-dry, lifting hair at the roots as you blow-dry. Dry until hair is just slightly wet.

·    Rake through the hair using your fingers to allow it to settle back down.

·    Now, wrap ½ inch sections of your hair around large round brush, blow-drying as you do and then transfer each section to a large Velcro roller.

·    Continue in this manner until you have two rollers on each side, three down the middle and six at the back of the head.

·    Mist hair with a volumizing spray and allow the rollers to sit for at least 10 minutes.

·    Carefully remove each of the rollers and then using your fingers, gently comb through the curls.

·    Starting at front area of the scalp where your eyebrows begin, take a section from both sides and bring the ends together into a mini updo. Secure the updo with bobby pins.

·    Finish this updo by spraying hair with a holding spray.

In 2006, Reese was seen donning a great messy bun that fans everywhere loved.

To recreate this look for yourself:

·    Start with clean, towel dried hair.

·    Next, apply a volumizing product to hair’s roots and ends and then blow-dry hair.

·    Brush hair back as if you are putting it into a ponytail, but twist hair instead.

·    Place bobby pins where they are needed to secure hair.

·    To give the bun a messy look, rub the palms of your hands over hair.

·    Finish this look with a spritz of hairspray to hold your new do into place.

As a final note: Please keep in mind that recreating these looks will take a little practice. Enjoy!
