Want to work your abs like Christina Ricci and Mel B.? Try this flab busting move 20 times on each side. Lie on your back with your fingers laced behind your head. Lift your legs over your hips and, with knees bent at a 90 degree angle and feet flexed, rotate your legs from left to right. Keep your hips and head on the ground and pull your belly button down.
Flabby arms keeping you from your favorite tank tops? Sculpt and firm your biceps and shoulders at the same time with the same moves that keep Kelly Rippa and Reese Witherspoon looking so great. Hold 8 to 15 pound dumbbells at your sides with your palms facing your body. Curl the dumbbells up to your shoulders, turn palms forward and press the weights over you head. Repeat 10 times.
If a better rear view is what you’re after, work your glutes and hamstrings with a stability ball. Lie on your back and rest your flexed feet on the center of the ball. Lift your hips so that your body is a straight slanted line from your shoulders to your ankles. Keep your body straight as you bend your knees and use your heels to pull the ball toward you. Push your legs straight back out and lower your body. Three sets of 8 – 10 reps will have you strutting your stuff like J. Lo and Rihanna.
Your legs don’t have to be a mile long to look like they are. This move can give you va-va-voom legs the likes of Madonna and Megan Fox. Stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Holding 10 – 20 pound dumbbells, you’re your knees slightly as you lift one leg and bend forward at the waist. Extend the lifted leg straight back behind you until it’s parallel to the floor. With your foot flexed, bend at the waist and hold the position for a few seconds. Slowly return to a standing position and do 10 reps per side.
