More Winter Fashion Trends to Jump on for 2008

More Winter Fashion Trends to Jump on for 2008Just because the year is almost over doesn’t mean that the fashion trends are, too! If you’re a savvy fashionista who is always on the search for the latest and greatest in everything from clothes to beauty, you’ll be happy to know that there are a few more trends you can rock this winter all the way up to New Year’s and beyond!

Fashion-wise, just because the weather is a bit chillier, that doesn’t mean you need to chuck your dresses from your winter wardrobe - quite the contrary! In terms of style this season, the best dresses to flaunt are long, flowing styles with plenty of layers, pleats, and plunging necklines. This type of style allows women of all shapes and sizes to wear such fashions and allow for an elegant and sexy entrance to any party or get-together. Choosing from solid colors to totally out-there designs and patterns give you the flexibility to be as formal or informal as you want. Also a winter hit for fashion is ruffles. Whether the ruffles appear on your shirt, skirt, dress or blouse, you can easily use this style to create a stunning outfit that’s perfect for daytime or a shindig in the evening. This winter, a bit of ruffles really can go a long way.

When it comes to your makeup, don’t be afraid to let your lipstick take the spotlight. Eye-catching lip colors are all the rage this winter. Because the lips can make a statement all their own, this allows you to simplify the rest of your makeup palette, allowing your lipstick to take center stage. You can choose to go matte or if you want to add a touch of shine, simply add a layer of sheer gloss to give your pout a sexy shimmer. Speaking of makeup, you can also take a chance with blue eyeliner. Note there isn’t a mention of blue eye shadow - this winter trend is all about lining your peepers with a great shade of blue in order to brighten your eyes and draw more attention to them. The cat eye look works superbly with blue eye liner…just be careful with the thickness of the lines you use. The blue liner should accentuate and not dominate your eye area.

The latest hair trend for winter is straight but voluminous. The super flat, stick straight locks are out. Instead of going for a head full of huge voluminous tresses, you can find a happy balance by having straight hair but with plenty of life and bounce. Blow dry your hair and run your fingers through it to give it a tousled look. Next, take voluminizing spray and spray your roots, then use a round brush to smooth out your locks while applying more heat from your blow dryer. This will give you straight tresses but with plenty of body. Add shine with a touch of hair gloss.

Make your feet the talk of the town by indulging in heels made with exotic skins in funky colors and styles. Just make sure to keep your toes away from the elements. Instead of strappy styles, opt for close-toed or peep-toe styles that are a bit on the chunky side. Heels in cold weather is possible, just make sure the style suits the weather.
