Do celebs really look good all the time or do we just assume what they’re wearing is cool because, hey, they’re celebs? Either way, there are some totally cute new trends popping up on the sidewalks as we take a look at what the box office titans are wearing on their days off. The best part is that they aren’t dressed in million dollar designer outfits, so you and I can pull of the exact same looks on a real Jane Doe’s budget.

Mandy Moore shops in metallic kicks that compliment her black and white striped scarf and plain black jacket and jeans. Seriously! Who doesn’t own a pair of jeans and a black jacket, cardi, sweater, T …anything black. The scarf covers whatever old tee shirt you’re wearing underneath, so you can pretty much roll out of bed, throw on this outfit and look amazing.

Remember the uniform from the original Beverly Hills 90210 – boy cut jeans, a white T and black belt? It’s ba-a-ack! Freshen up this oldie but goodie with that black jacket from your Mandy Moore outfit and a pair of crisp white canvas tennies. Throw on a fat pair of dark sunglasses and no one will ever know that you haven’t hit the sheets since…when did you last sleep?

High-tops cannot be stopped. These are quite possibly the most fun thing on the streets. Companies are making the new take on basketball court favs in bright colors, soft leather and with cool accents so that they look up to date and chic with funky miniskirts and embellished capris.

You know that mini-dress that is too die for but goes with no shoes you have ever owned? Canvas to the rescue! It’s that dress that is so cute, but made of material too heavy to go with strappy sandals. It’s not dressy enough for heels but too dressy for ballet slippers. The spiked-heel canvas walking shoe is the answer. It is literally a Ked with a spiked 1½” heel stuck to the back and it’s fabulous.

I’d wager money that every celeb has a khaki trench coat in their closet. It’s the answer to the outfit you threw on in the dark and it doesn’t match at all, but add a pair of white Chucks and a trench coat and you somehow miraculously look polished and sophisticated.

Put menswear to work for you with a business approach to your outfit. A brushed cotton tee under a working-class blazer takes a modern turn when worn over black skinny pants with a sheen. Wrap a studded belt around your waist, tie on a bright blue or green pair of sneakers and you’ve got a surprisingly simple and stylish look going.
