Question One: I love comfy, winter sweaters, but I end up looking like a marshmallow because they’re usually so thick. How do I wear a cozy sweater and still look like I have a figure?
Answer: Cozy doesn’t mean bulky. Choose materials that are soft and plush on the inside and the outside. A big part of what makes a sweater “comfy” is how it looks. That’s what makes you want to grab it out of your closet. Patterns also make you look chunkier. Opt for solid colors with a scoop or V-neck. Adding a belt to a long sweater is a great way to accent your figure.
Question Two: How do I wear the baggy, slouch-cut jeans that all the celebrity girls are wearing? Are they guys’ jeans?
Answer: They are not guys’ jeans, although depending on your figure, your boyfriend’s jeans could achieve the same look. Most bodies can pull off the slouch-cut jeans, but keep your top fitted. You don’t want to look big all over. And you want to add some femme accessories like long pearls, a great belt, even a hat and sunglasses help to add charm to this style. As for the cuff, if you’re petite this is going to make you look even shorter and frumpier. Add a pair of heels to lengthen your legs.
Question Three: I want to be glamorous for the holidays, but my budget is stuck on nights-at-home. What can I do?
Answer: One word for you: Accessorize! Accessories can be inexpensive and will add just what you need to go from that-old-thing to glamorous. Sometimes all you need is a gold or silver clutch to dress up a black dress.
Question Four: I’m not ready to give up my low-rise jeans just yet, but now that they are perfectly comfortable and broken in they always show the top of my butt cleavage. What to do?
Answer: You’re not alone in this dilemma and some companies are offering a pretty decent solution. You can find stretchy bands that fit just inside the waistband of your jeans to hide your cleavage when you sit or bend over.
Question Five: On the other end, I love to wear fitted V-neck sweaters, but they always show my cleavage when I bend over. Most of my sweaters are too fitted to wear anything underneath. Any suggestions?
Answer: There is a miracle bandeau top that is a fake cami. It fits like a bandeau bra (without the support) and most are pretty with lace trim or satin piping. It works under most any material and is meant for plunging necklines so it offers more than an inch of coverage.
