Beauty Habits that Deserve another LookWe always start out with good intentions, don’t we? But then life gets in the way, and we get rushed and tired. Certain habits begin to feel like too much work and they eventually get left behind. Before you know it, your skin is looking less than radiant and your body is feeling tired and sluggish. It’s time to revisit some of your favorite beauty habits to see which ones you can find the time for once again.

 

Habit #1: Make Time for a Soak

There are so many good reasons to spend time soaking in a tub. A warm bath can wash away more than the grime of the day; it can rinse off the tension and stress that life brings as well. Add some oil to your tub, and you’ve got your moisturizing treatment taken care of as well. Give your face an exfoliation treatment before your bath, and let the steam open your pores and prepare your skin for a deep cleansing afterward. Your hair can get in on the action with a deep conditioning treatment during your soak. Mmm, who doesn’t love a good pampering?

 

Habit #2: There’s the Rub!

As skin ages, dead skin cells can make your complexion look dull and lifeless. The best way to stop this tendency is through a regular exfoliation treatment. An exfoliating treatment will slough off the dead skin cells that leave skin looking less than its best. Your skin will appear more radiant, and freshly exfoliated skin will allow moisturizer to soak in more effectively. Get in the exfoliating habit, and you are guaranteed to love the results.

 

Habit #3: Drink Up

Unless you have been living on a deserted island for the past couple of decades you have heard the advice that says to drink at least eight glasses of water every day. But do you know just how beneficial this hydration is for your skin? Proper hydration will keep your skin clean and clear, by flushing out the harmful toxins in the body. Well hydrated skin will be better able to combat the effects of the free radicals in our environment, and keep skin looking radiant and healthy. There are plenty of good reasons to get into the habit of drinking your eight glasses a day, and healthy skin is only one of them.

 

Habit #4: Get Moving

Exercise will keep your body fit, your weight down and your energy level up. It can also keep your skin looking its best. Daily exercise will keep your cardiovascular system healthy, which will maximize the blood flow throughout your body. This increased blood flow will result in healthier, glowing skin as well as a healthier body. Regular exercise will put a flush in your cheeks and a sparkle in your eye. It is one of the most important habits you can do for your body, so get up and get moving!

 

These four habits are some of the most beneficial routines you can do for your skin as well as your body. Good health and beautiful looks always go hand in hand, so take care of yourself with these healthy habits and love the way you look!
