Tinted Moisturizer
You can use a tinted moisturizer in place of your normal daily moisturizer and your foundation. Choose a shade that is close to your natural skin tone and you may be able to skip the concealer as well. Most of the tinted moisturizers on the market also include a sunscreen of SPF 15 or more and come formulated for dry, normal and oily skin types.
Facial Cleaning Cloths
Cleansers can take up a lot of room. Try individually-packaged facial cleansing cloths instead. Some are pre-moistened and just need to be removed from the packaging. Others need to be moistened with warm water to activate the cleanser already on the cloth. These little wonders can be used to remove eye makeup, in place of your normal daily cleanser, after a trip to the gym – the possibilities go on and on. Look for cloths fortified with botanicals to leave your skin feeling clean and soft.
Body
While you probably won’t have the need to shave if you’re just off to the office for the day, combining these two products into one is a great time and space saver for your next vacation or business trip. Women have been combining these two for years with less than great results – most body washes aren’t formulated with the soothing ingredients needed for shaving. With this simple solution, you can pack one tube that cleanses, hydrates and soothes while also providing an excellent shaving lubricant.
Facial Highlighting Pen
Facial highlighters are becoming all the rage to get the looks you see in the magazines, but did you know that you can use them as a concealer as well? If your normal concealer is a shade lighter than your skin tone, this space and time saver can work great for you. Just use the highlighter like you would use concealer – a few dots under your eyes and to cover any blemishes or redness. Blend it in with your finger and you’re set to go. After the rest of your color is in place, draw a few light lines across your face where the shadows normally fall to give you a luminous boost of color.
Note: You can also use this idea in reverse and use your concealer as your highlighter – but only if your concealer is a shade or two lighter than your natural skin tone. For instance, a pale green concealer that you would use to control redness would not make a good highlighter.
