Want to look younger, feel better, and have skin that glows? Then put on your sweats and head to the gym. A regular regime of exercise has many mental and physical benefits. It will help you control your weight and firm your muscles. Not only will you tone your body, but you’ll also plump up the collagen in your skin. This will help you look younger.

 

For those who have always enjoyed the benefits of exercise, they’ll be the first to tell you how important it is to get the blood flowing. Through increased circulation oxygen and the many nutrients will be delivered to all parts of your body. This is also important to for your skin to stay healthy. Besides feeding your skin, a good workout will also remove toxins from your system. This, in turn, benefits your complexion.

 

If you suffer from breakouts or acne, regular exercise can help clear up those problem blemishes. A vigorous workout will increase sweating which can clean the skin by unclogging the pores. It will also regulate hormone production which helps keep acne in check.

 

But perhaps one of the most important by-products of a daily exercise routine is that you will reduce your stress levels.    Stress wreaks havoc on our bodies by increasing heart rate, raising blood pressure, and strains other bodily systems. It also takes its toll on your skin. Prolonged periods of stress can age your appearance. It is most evident in the face. That tense look can add to the number of lines around the mouth as well as eyes. With regular physical activity the muscles in the face begin to relax and that strained look begins to disappear.

 

Aerobic exercise, such as walking, bicycling, or a workout at the gym will also help to give your skin a healthy glow. Follow this with a tall glass of water and you have a great recipe for a better complexion.
