Shake up your look
– If you’ve got a signature look or a go to outfit, odds are your friends or significant other have seen it more than once.
While there is nothing wrong with a trademark look, one of the best ways to be noticed is to toss out the old and bring in the new. If you normally reach for that little black dress, try a sleek tuxedo for a formal night or a pair of well-tailored pants for a change. If pants are your go to look, go for a sexy dress or skirt to show off those legs.
Shine like the stars
– Shimmer has stepped beyond the runway and photo shoot into the everyday, so why not embrace it? When you catch the light, you catch some looks as well. Start with a facial highlighter. If you normally use one, step it up. If you’ve never tried one, start with your cheek bones to add that extra glow. Try a metallic eye shadow. To bring some attention to those legs you’ve been working so hard, draw a line down the center of each leg (front and back) with shimmer powder and blend outward to add the impression of even more tone and firmness.
The scent of success
–The key to a memorable look is sometimes as simple as confidence. The right fragrance can give you the confidence to light up the room. A new fragrance can change more than just how you smell. A darker scent can make you feel more seductive and an attitude shift can change your look as much as a new outfit. A lighter scent can give you that playful bounce to your step to compliment that shimmer on your cheeks.
Put your hair up
– One sure fire way to make an entrance is to try a new updo for that special night out. Try a deep side part with a teased up crown to turn some heads. Start with shampooed hair and let it air dry. If your hair is naturally curly or frizzy, use a small amount of a curl relaxer to give you a good starting point. Apply some thickening lotion to the crown area and gently tease it up with a rattail comb to get some height. Part your hair on one side and push your bangs (or the front section of your hair) across the front. For longer hair, secure the ends behind your ear with a bobby pin.
