Petite women don’t want to drown in baggy skirts or outfits that add too much material to your frame. If you are petite and small, choose skirts that are mid-thigh length and fitted – not skin tight. Go for skirts that add fun details like a bow belt – or add your own. Pair it with a top that tucks in and poofs a little at the waist. This draws your attention to your middle and leaves length at the top and bottom. Add pump heels to give you even more height.
For the pear shape, your short skirts hit mid-knee. Pick a straight-cut which instantly lengthens and slims your thighs. Avoid cargo skirts with pockets that add width to your hips. Solid colors on the bottom and patterns on top also help balance your figure. Chunky soles and high heels top off your sexy outfit by adding definition to your hips and calves and a balance to your legs.
Plus sizes look great in knee length skirts that are not too tight and not too loose. Too tight will make your body look bigger than it really is, and, believe it or not, too much material will do the same thing. Go with a skirt that is straight, no pleats or frills. Choose top and bottom color combinations that compliment each other. This will create a fluid line that thins and compliments your figure. Go bold with your accessories and shoes! Put on a sexy pair of wedge heels and you’re ready to be seen.
Tall gals have more fun…it’s true. Depending on your figure, you can go from the top of this list to the bottom. You’ve got leg to show and plenty of it so you can go short or mid-thigh and still look great. For you, we offer a few words of advice. If you’re going short, know that the longer your leg looks, the shorter your skirt looks. Be sure you’re appropriate for your venue. Also, have a seat in the dressing room and make sure your cheeks are covered when you sit and stand. For mid-thigh skirts, go for the tailored look to add length to your legs. Add a pair of skinny heels and you’re runway-ready.
