Top Five Resolutions to Look Great in 2010

Top Five Resolutions to Look Great in 2008We`ve all been there. You jump onboard the New Year`s resolution bandwagon, only to fall off before Valentine`s Day rolls around. Promise yourself that this year is going to be different. Check out the top five resolutions listed here that will benefit your mind, body and spirit. With so much good coming out of five easy steps, you will be sure to greet the next New Year`s Day with a whole new you!

Resolution #1: Drink Eight Every Day

Hydration equals radiant, younger looking skin, and what`s the best way to hydrate your epidermis? From the inside out, of course. There are tons of reasons to drink eight glasses of water every day, so pick the one that will motivate you the most. First, water aids in flushing toxins out of the body, keeping it healthier overall. Sufficient water intake will help you lose weight by curbing hunger pangs. And water will help your skin to look plumper and younger. Drink up!

Resolution #2: Get Eight Every Night

If you think drinking water is good for you, you should try getting eight hours of shut-eye every night. Sleep will keep your heart healthy, allow your body time to heal itself and help your mind to work at peak efficiency. Some studies even show that eight hours of sleep can help you lose weight! Of course, sufficient sleep is good for your beauty routine, and eight hours every night will keep you looking your best.

Resolution #3: Get Moving

We all know that exercise is good for the body, but did you know it can be good for your skin as well? By boosting the function of the cardiovascular system, you maximize blood flow throughout your body. This in turn will give skin its radiant glow that you can enjoy long after the workout is over. A luscious body and beautiful skin – what else could you want for 2010?

Resolution #4: Beat Stress

Sure, life is stressful today. But all that stress can build up and leave its unattractive mark on our skin and body as well. You may never be able to get rid of stress entirely, but you can find ways to minimize its effects. Take time out for yourself every day to do something you love. Read a book, take a walk or soak in a tub of bubbles. Spend time with your spouse and kids, and follow the first three resolutions above without fail. You will bid farewell to stress and say hello to a more beautiful you.

Resolution #5: Protect your Skin

Our skin is the one organ of our body that faces the elements every single day. Harmful rays of the sun, pollution and cigarette smoke can do a number on our complexion and even put us at risk for some types of diseases. The first step in protecting your skin is to wear sunscreen every day, rain or shine. The second step is to eat a diet that is rich in antioxidants, like those found in fresh fruits and vegetables. Your skin will reward you for your care by putting its best face forward every single day.

Resolutions don`t have to be broken in a month or two, especially if they will keep us healthy, happy and beautiful. Take time out for yourself everyday, and you will love what these resolutions can do for you. Happy New Year!
