Smile Therapy for a Fresh Approach to Beauty

Smile Therapy for a Fresh Approach to BeautyTrue beauty is not only in the eyes of the beholder; beauty resides in the eyes of the person who feels beautiful and healthy. The eyes reflect so much about a person, and the energy in the eyes is often connected with emotional health, physical and emotional growth and vitality. The key to eyes that sparkle is a genuine smile and expression that reflects all the natural beauty that is within each person.

A beautiful and relaxed state of mind can do more for a complexion or a beauty regimen than the most expensive facial cream or face-lift procedure. The action of paying attention to how genuine facial expressions are and how they reflect physical beauty and emotional well-being is often called expression therapy or smile therapy.

Men and women alike can benefit from smile therapy and paying attention to all of their expressions to help obtain and grow that inner glow that cannot be found anywhere else in the beauty routine. A genuine smile that sparkles is a priceless asset to any beauty arsenal. Think about how much better you look and feel when you are confident and comfortable in your surroundings, enough to smile and laugh freely. You can learn to capture this feeling of confidence anywhere, and put that natural comfortable smile to use to make you look and feel more beautiful in any situation.

To prepare for your first personal smile therapy session, you will need a few tools to help you. Find a room or a space with a mirror, and find scented candles or a room freshener fragrance that makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. Gather music that makes you feel uplifted, and pictures of people and places you enjoy. A bathroom can be a perfect place for your smile therapy session, and the session can take place before or after your regular beauty routine.

To begin smile therapy, first get relaxed in your therapy area. Light your scented candles, turn on your music and enjoy your surroundings. Next, look into the mirror and study your face. Practice making a fake smile; simply pull the corners of your mouth up. Notice and memorize how the strain in your face feels when the smile does not have energy behind it. After you have familiarized yourself with your smile muscles, relax again and smile a genuine smile. If you have trouble, look at the pictures you collected to help you manifest happy thoughts. Study the difference in how your real smile looks and feels in comparison to your fake smile. Look at the difference in the eyes.

The more a person pays attention to the way that they smile, and the more they practice smiling a genuine smile, the more their natural beauty will shine through. Even smiling when no one is around helps tone the face, and energize your body and mind to look and feel truly beautiful.
