OK so some of these are real life emergencies – like your zipper gets stuck in the bathroom at work – and some are just really annoying, which we all know can easily escalate into a fashion emergency. Either way, there’s hope and a cure for lots of what ails your zippers and shoes and scuffed purses and torn hems. Here is a collection of quick fixes and cover-ups for those moments you’d rather live without.

You’re in a hotel about to walk out the door for the interview of a lifetime. You take one last look and notice that your collar (or your hem – works great on both) is wrinkled and tweaked under your jacket. No problem. You don’t have to get undressed to press. Just grab your flatiron and straighten it out. This only works on cotton!

Ever see someone cross her legs or try to do a sexy leg pop while rubbing it in that she gets to kiss that hottie, only to see the half peeled off sticker on the bottom of her shoe? Classy! Stop scrapping those annoying things off. Blast it with a hair dryer for 30 seconds and watch the magic happen. It will peel right off leaving you free to pop and cross all day.

Scuff on your new patent leather boots or your favorite bag? Don’t pitch it, but please don’t keep wearing it! All you need is a cup of milk. That’s right. Rub the scuff with white milk and then buff back to brand new.

So this is definitely the coolest fix of all. To brighten your dull diamonds – poor girl! – take them to happy hour. Even the professionals use this trick. Soak your diamonds in vodka for a super high-shine sparkle. Amazing!

Pants keep getting stuck under your heel when you wear your favorite mules? You’ll love this! Cut a 1” by 3” strip of duct tape and stick it to the inside of your pants, from the hem up. You can crease your pants if you like, but this will keep them from tucking in and giving you a heel wedgie.

Now we’ve all been here – a cold breeze, a freezing restaurant and your cute little T shirt has turned into pole dancer attire. Never fear, there is a pain-free way to deal with this. Simply place a small, round Band-aid onto the inside of your bra. Problem solved!

You know how you try to hide the safety pin that holds together those V-necks that let it all hang out, and it never works? Why try to hide it? Pick out a stud earring and make a fashion statement. Pearls work great. Diamonds do too. Now you’re getting it!

And last but not least, the dreaded stuck zipper. This may inspire you to always carry a pencil. Lead works as a lubricant on metal. So if you can’t get your zipper back up, rub a pencil along the teeth and you’re home free… or just back to work, but you’re not stuck in the stall so that’s a good thing.
