So you’ve got your dress and know exactly how you’re going to wear your hair and makeup. Now you get the fun of choosing jewelry. Nothing sets off a bridal outfit like accessories. Of all jewelry, the most common and traditional pieces the majority of brides end up choosing include earrings, a necklace and bracelet. To keep things simple, some brides opt for jewelry sets so that everything matches and is easily accounted for. While there is nothing wrong with this approach, brides that want to go the extra step to ensure a unique look will want to invest time in other types of bridal accessories.
Instead of the customary necklace and bracelet, try something different such as a choker and/or bangle set. Chokers offer a different type of elegant style that frees up your décolleté area, which draws more attention to your dress, while accentuating your neck. Instead of wearing a regular bracelet, switch things up by tossing on a bangle bracelet, which can be as intricate or as elaborate as you desire. The great thing about wearing a bangle bracelet is that it will draw a lot of attention to your wrist so if you want to show off that gorgeous engagement and/or wedding ring, add a fashionable bangle into the mix.
Depending on the style of your wedding dress, you may want to add a stylish brooch. Once thought of as “old fashioned,” brooches are making a comeback in fashion and are even being spotted on the runway. Special wedding brooches are available or you can design your own. Many come with delicate crystals or you can choose your favorite gemstone for something different.
Who says you can only dress up your ears, neck, and wrists? If you want your hair to make an impact on your wedding day, then you’ll want to look into bridal hair accessories. There are a variety of bridal hair accessories that you can choose from in order to customize your own bridal style. If you feel that tiaras are too tacky or childish, then you can opt for a head band. Many bridal head bands are encrusted with crystals and various designs from butterflies to flowers. If you want to keep things simple, you can opt for bridal hair clips, hair bands, hair claws, or hair pins. These bridal hair accessories work with all styles so whether you sport an updo or wear your hair down, these items will bring attention to you from head to toe.
