Odor Foot sweat and odor can be treated in a variety of ways to leave you with fresh feet.
Foot Soaks Try a chamomile foot bath for an easy solution to foot sweat. When you get home from work, make a strong chamomile tea with about 12 cups of water and ½ cup to a cup of chamomile. Let the tea boil until it is reduced by several cups, and put the warm water in two plastic containers. Soak both feet in the tea for 15 to 20 minutes. You can make any kind of herbal foot bath with the same recipe only using herbs like lavender, rose and sage instead of the chamomile, or in combination with it.
Foot Powder Make your own fragranced foot powder by adding 10 drops of your favorite scented oil to talc or baby powder. Try lavender oil for a light floral smell, or use orange or lemon oil for citrus scented talc and feet.
Massage Get a foot massage with scented massage oil to stimulate and relax your feet while increasing the circulation and aiding foot odor with a light scent.
Scrubs Combine natural oils like almond, olive and grape seed oil with coarse sea salt or sugar for an exfoliating foot scrub that will slough off dead skin and help your feet feel soft, moisturized and sweet enough to eat. Add a few drops of your favorite scented oil to enhance the fragrance. Use ¼ to ½ cup of oil to each cup of sugar or salt.
Corns Corns are hard thick layers of skin on the top or side of the toe caused by wear and tear on our feet caused by shoes that don`t fit correctly and too much standing and walking.
Fruit To help soften the corns so that the skin can be removed, use a natural solution. Papaya juice and pulp is effective in softening and healing corns. Mash a fresh papaya, and bandage some of the fruit to your corn. Allow it to stay on the corn for as long as possible, and repeat to see results. A lemon peel can also be used attached to the corn to reduce its size and make it soft for removal.
Tea Bags Used tea bags can also be affixed to painful corns for relief and removal. Relax with a cool tea bag taped to your toes before bed, or during a nap.
Fungus
To fight foot fungus that forms around the toes like athlete`s foot or a mild toenail infection use honey. Cover the affected area with a liberal amount of raw honey and cover with a bandage or a sock. Leave it on overnight and the antifungal properties of the honey will help kill the fungus and itching associated with it after several days of treatment.
