Mesotherapy treats cellulite directly and can promote smoother, softer skin while reducing the fat in the targeted areas. A successful mesotherapy treatment can effectively flush fat deposits from the body and prevent it from occurring in other areas. Unlike liposuction, mesotherapy doesn’t require a stay in the hospital, general anesthesia or recovery time.
This procedure works by injecting a special combination of homeopathic agents, vitamins, natural extracts, and pharmaceuticals into the area affected by cellulite. Mesotherapy eliminates cellulite and layers of fat by targeting the core of cellulite formation in the skin. The doctor will create a special formula that will reduce the cellulite, improve circulation and break down the connective tissue. In addition to treating cellulite, mesotherapy is also sought out for problems with aging and sagging skin, to promote weight loss and as a means of rejuvenating the skin on aging hands and the neck area.
If you want to undergo mesotherapy, you’ll have to find a licensed and experienced doctor and do a consultation. Your medical history will be reviewed and if you are eligible, you’ll have your photo taken for your medical records to track your progress from start to finish. Two small injections will also be made to test for allergic reactions. After 24 hours, you’ll be contacted to report any side effects or negative reactions. If all is well, you’ll be able to schedule your mesotherapy session the next day. Depending on your tolerance for injections, you can choose to have a numbing cream applied to the area but it isn’t mandatory.
The final results vary from person to person and on their body type. Many patients experience noticeable results after 2-3 sessions. When combined with exercise and a healthy daily diet, the effects of mesotherapy can last for a long time. However, it may still be necessary to arrange occasional mesotherapy treatments to maintain the best results.
The cost of getting mesotherapy done depends on what ingredients are used in the injection but a general price range can be anywhere between $250-350 per treatment. Even though this may sound considerably more affordable than other cosmetic procedures, it is important to remember that the best results using mesotherapy are achieved after more than one session. If you have a lot of cellulite, you may have to keep going back until you see the results you want. During your consultation be sure to ask your doctor what the exact cost will be for your recommended number of sessions.
