Massage Products to use at Home

Massage Products to use at HomeThere is no doubt that getting a massage can relieve stress and tension while promoting an overall feeling of wellness and relaxation. But few of us can afford to visit a massage therapist on a frequent basis. The solution may lie in stocking some basic supplies and tools so that you can reap the benefits of massage from the comfort and privacy of your own home. You can find tools that run the gamut in price range, and can address just about any area of your body that requires some special attention. There are tools that can be used by another person to give you a wonderful massage at home, and even items that will allow you to enjoy the benefits of a massage when you are alone.

One of the most popular home massage products is massage oil, and you can find this in a wide variety of scents and textures. If you want to combine aromatherapy with your home massage, look for oils that contain essential oils like peppermint or grapefruit for an invigorating experience, or lavender to offer complete relaxation. There are also massage oil candles that can be burned down, emitting a lovely aroma throughout your room. Once the candle wax has melted into aromatic oil, you can pour the oil directly onto your skin for a warm beginning to your massage experience. These candles are designed so that the wax does not burn too hot, and it will not burn your skin when it is applied.

There are many other massage tools that can be used at home to help you say goodbye to tension, and these range from small, handheld massagers, to the ultimate indulgence of a massage chair. Many products and gadgets are specifically created to work on a distinct part of the body, so make sure that you read product descriptions carefully to ensure that the massage tool you select will work effectively on the area in which you need the most help. There are massage tools that are specifically designed for the feet, hands, back and scalp. Some, like the massage chair, are equipped to address a number of areas of the body at one time, for the extreme relaxation experience.

If you decide to invest in a few massage tools to keep at home for private stress reduction, keep in mind that most of these items will be fairly easy to use. Still, it is a good idea to arm yourself with an instructional manual that will go into detail about the best pressure spots to address and the techniques that have been found to be most effective. You can also purchase massage gloves that will show you the areas of the hand that can be worked on for a reflexology treatment and charts that will guide you in the ways of massage and acupressure. With the proper stock of massage tools, your home massage is ready and waiting any time you need it.
