Choosing the Right Spa And Dermatologist For You

choosing spaSo you have decided to join in on the latest anti-aging movement and get some work done. Perhaps you`ve decided on something as simple as a facial or mini-peel, maybe you are considering a treatment a little more in depth such as laser resurfacing or collagen injections, or then again, perhaps you are just looking for a place to relax and unwind for a day or even a week. Once you have decided the treatment you are looking for, we`ll show you how to choose the right Dermatologist or spa to provide you with the proper treatment and most safe and effective results.

Choosing A Dermatologist

The most important thing to remember when choosing who will make changes to your face, no matter how small or large, is never to compromise. Especially with patients who are having moderate to major procedures performed such as face-lifts or laser resurfacing, it is never worth it to take a chance on a dermatologist that you are not completely comfortable with and do not completely trust. So how do you go about finding a reputable and trustworthy physician?

Word of mouth and talking with people who have had the procedure you are considering are great ways to begin the search for a qualified dermatologist. A reputable dermatologist will always be willing to accommodate your request to speak with previous clients, will take the time to thoroughly and adequately answer any questions, address concerns, discuss expectations, and explain the procedure and it`s recovery process in detail. Questions you`ll want to be sure to ask include the following:

·                       How long have you been in the dermatology practice?

·                       How many procedures do you perform daily/weekly?

·                       What are your qualifications? Is the dermatologist board certified?

·                       Is the dermatologist associated with any professional organizations?

·                       Where did the dermatologist obtain his/her education?

Choosing A Quality Spa

Typically, the first contact you`ll have with a spa is by telephone. This first impression says a lot about the quality of service you`ll receive when visiting the facility. Quality customer service should be the first thing you notice when choosing a spa and that means whoever answers your call should go out of the way to accommodate your needs and answer any questions you may have. Upon visiting the spa, cleanliness is of the utmost importance. If you notice anything that makes the spa appear unclean in any way, don`t hesitate to walk out the door and continue your search for a clean and sanitary facility. This includes facial areas, massage chairs, and manicure/pedicure stations that should be cleaned after every client. Further factors to include in your inquiry also include ensuring that staff is licensed to carry out procedures including aestheticians and massage therapists and any quality spa will be happy to display these credentials for their clients. Comfort and a stress-free environment are essential to creating a quality spa experience. Wherever you choose to go, make sure it is somewhere that creates an environment that can give you the soothing, relaxing, and enjoyable experience you are paying for.
