No matter what the hairstyle, actress
Halle
Berry can pull off just about any style. Whether you love her past messy shag or her fabulous long curls that she was seen sporting at the January 2007 People’s Choice Awards, our guide can show you how to get the look.
When recreating these two styles, keep in mind that
Halle’s hair type is thick and course, allowing for the volume and weight of these styles. If you have any other type of hair, it might not hold as well as
Halle’s.
Halle also as an oval face shape, which works well for her famous short cuts. If you have a long facial shape such as oblong, then the short style is probably not right for you. Instead, try a shorter shoulder length version of her latest style to draw attention away from the length of your face.
Keeping it Short
While fans may know her for her famous pixie cut,
Halle also had fans craving her short messy shag that she was seen sporting in X-Men 3. This look was created with heavy layers and razor cut edges to create texture. Not everyone’s hair can withstand razoring since this type of cutting can cause the ends of hair to split very easily.
·
For the style, start with slightly wet hair and apply a mixture of equal parts, styling gel and a straightening balm throughout the hair.
·
Next, blow-dry hair into sections, beginning from the bottom and working your way up to the top.
·
Beginning at the back of the head and working with a section at a time, roll individual sections using a two-inch round brush up and out to create a flipped look. Repeat using the same technique for the rest of the head.
·
Apply a pomade to give the hair a textured look by working the product through each section bending the pieces as you go.
·
Finally, spritz a holding spray on head if you desire a little more hold and finish with shine spray for extra shine.
Growing it Long
·
Halle
’s latest hairstyle reveals long beautiful curls that feature a side part. This style can be simple and a wonderful look even if you don’t have long curls. To get this look with shorter hair, try hair extensions. These pieces can easily clip into your own hair and many are now made to look real so that they blend in better.
·
Apply a curl-enhancing product to freshly towel-dried hair and blow dry hair using a diffuser attachment to keep frizzies tame.
·
If you’re in need of a little curl, using a curling iron or hot rollers, separate hair into small sections and roll or curl each section. Allow curls to cool before removing the hot rollers. Spray curls and allow them to dry.
·
To finish this look, use your fingers to shape the curls and apply a shine spray for extra shine.
If you’re unsure whether the above styles will work for you, talk to your hairstylist. He or she can help you to create a
Halle
Berry style that is most flattering on you.
