Get Creative with Buns

Get Creative with BunsThe simple elegance of a classic bun can easily be created for almost any occasion, but did you know that a bun can also be creative and fun? Today, hairstyles are changing and what was once simple and neat has now taken on a whole new look. If you’re tired of the classic bun, check out these fun and creative ideas on an old favorite.

Double Bun

·    Start by parting the hair down the middle from front to back.

·    Next, make two low ponytails and then loosely wrap each ponytail into a bun.

·    Secure the buns using ponytail holders.

·    If needed, spritz hair with a holding spray to set the look.

Bun Updo

·    Begin by brushing hair into a high ponytail that rests at the center of your crown.

·    Next, secure the ponytail using a ponytail holder.

·    Now, lift the ponytail straight up and smooth with a soft bristle brush.

·    If needed, apply a styling gel to the hair for maximum hold.

·    Brush the ponytail back down and twist the top of the ponytail into a small bun.

·    Arrange the hair out around the ponytail, creating a small round bun formation.

·    After creating the desired size, pin with bobby pins.

·    To form a soft wispy bun continue pinning strands of hair to the base of the bun.

·    Finish the look by spritzing with a styling spray for extra hold.

·

Messy Bun

·    Start by applying a small amount of styling gel to slightly damp hair.

·    Pull hair into a high ponytail, just at the crown of the head and secure using a ponytail holder.

·    Next, divide hair into three sections and twist each section into a spiral style.

·    Bring the spiraled section back towards the base of the ponytail and pin it to the base.

·    Carefully tease any individual hairs using a comb and spray with a holding spray to finish this look.

Slick Bun

·    Start by applying a small amount of styling gel to slightly dap hair.

·    Next, use a wide-toothed comb to smooth out hair.

·    Gather hair into a low ponytail and secure with a ponytail holder.

·    Twist the ponytail into a loop and wrap it around the ponytail.

·    Secure the bun with bobby pins and spray hair with a holding spray.

·    To finish this look spritz hair with a shine spray.

Mini Buns

·    Begin by sectioning hair into 3-4 sections, depending on the desired amount of buns.

·    Gather each of the sections into a ponytail and secure using a ponytail holder.

·    Next, twist the individual ponytails into a bun and secure with bobby pins.

·    To finish this look, spray hair with a holding spray.
