To enjoy a homemade, all natural shampoo, you can try out either of these two recipes. To create a special Chamomile shampoo, you’ll want to gather the following ingredients: 1 ½ tablespoons of glycerin, 4 bags of Chamomile tea, and 4 tablespoons of pure soap flakes. Boil your Chamomile tea bags in 1 ½ cups of water for 10 minutes. Afterwards, take out the tea bags and pour the liquid left in the pot into a bowl with the soap flakes. Wait until the mixture softens and then stir in your glycerin until it is thoroughly blended. Pour your final mixture into a bottle and store in a dark and cool place until you’re ready to use it.
To make your own olive oil and aloe shampoo, get together the following ingredients: ½ cup natural liquid castile soap, 1 tablespoon olive oil, and 2 tablespoons of aloe vera juice. In order to make this recipe work, you’ll also need to create what is known as an herbal infusion. This can be done by taking ½ ounce of dried flowers of your choice and pouring one cup of boiling water over them. Rosemary should be used for brunettes, while hibiscus works for redheads, and chamomile is ideal for blondes. After your herbal infusion is created, cover the mixture, cool and then strain. Add your castile soap, aloe vera juice, and olive oil to your herbal infusion and pour into a bottle. Shake and it’s ready to use.
Need a good conditioner? Then you’ll want to become a fan of avocados. Take half of an avocado and mix with one egg until you get it thoroughly blended. Now you can take your mixture and massage it into your scalp and leave on for no longer than a half hour. Next, rinse with cool water at first and then finish your rinse with warm water. This natural recipe will leave your hair smooth, shiny, and soft.
Certain herbs and fruits help the hair in different ways and even the kind you choose can benefit your particular hair type or hair color. Brunettes can turn to rosemary, sage, and lavender to keep their hair color fresh. Redheads can use henna, red hibiscus, or alkanet to maintain their fiery red locks, and blondes can keep their tresses sun kissed by using rhubarb or chamomile. Oily hair can get a boost from pomegranate, cranberry, lemon, and grape. Hair that needs help with body and shine can benefit from pulp and fresh fruit juices to provide the hair and scalp with plenty of nutrients, vitamins, proteins, and emollients. For deep moisturizing properties, you can use currant, apples, or avocado.
