First up, let’s tackle the red carpet hairstyle. When it comes time to make a statement to the world, what better place to do it than on the red carpet? It doesn’t matter if you’ll never set foot at an actual red carpet event but should the opportunity come for you to showcase drop-dead gorgeous locks at a big gala, you can easily throw together the right look. The latest trend for female celebrities when it comes to red carpet events and other huge get-togethers is the updo. Keeping the hair out of your face is a fashionable and great way to look elegant and bring attention to your face as well as your locks. To get this look, start by flat ironing it and adding spray or shine serum for stick-straight locks. Next, pull your hair into a ponytail and secure with a thin, black hair band or whatever color matches your hair so it will appear invisible among your tresses. Using a large barrel curling iron, create a large curl for each section of hair and safely pin the curl to your head using a bobby pin. Once you have arranged your curls as you see fit, spray generously with holding spray that won’t leave you with stiff, crunchy hair. Smooth all flyaways with pomade or shine serum.
Speaking of updos, the messy bun is continuing to make appearances on the heads of female celebrities everywhere, even when they’ve got nowhere special to go! How can you get a bun that looks messy but in a celeb way? Start off by brushing your hair and spraying an anti-frizz product. Now pull your hair into a ponytail (high or low is up to you) and smooth out any hair bumps. Wrap your ponytail around the base (this creates the bun) and secure with a hair band or bobby pin. If your hair starts to fall out of the bun at the sides, keep them in place with bobby pins. Next, use a fine tooth comb or your fingers to gently pull out random strands of hair from your bun. You’ll be able to control how messy you want it and depending on your makeup, accessories, and/or outfit, your bun will be good to go!
Got a special night out planned? Then you’ll want to snag sexy celebrity curls. Many celebrities wear their tresses down and filled with to-die-for curls at fashion shows and even the runway models themselves sport this style. Now it’s time to follow in their footsteps! For these curls, make sure you have a great holding spray to lock in the style regardless of how long you’re out and about. You can create cascades of wavy curls by using tissue-paper rollers to wrap sections of your hair (after applying thickening spray and gloss) and styling your new curls with your fingers. Or you can simply braid your hair the night before and undo them the next day to reveal a head full of curls, which you can manipulate with styling gel.
Between these three coveted celebrity styles, you’ll be prepared for any event and attain your own celeb status among your friends!
