Tips to Take Care of Hair Perhaps your hair has begun to think on top, or break off at the ends and in places it never used to. One of the many factors that lay into thinning hair like heredity, stress, vitamin deficiency, poor diet, or diseases like diabetes, thyroid disease, or skin disease can be affecting your life in terms of your hair, and you want to know some simple solutions to help get your hair back on track. Below are some tips that you can incorporate into your everyday life to help strengthen your hair, help battle against further loss, and make the hair you have more shiny and healthy.

 

Increase your Essential Fatty Acids

There are many places you can get these beneficial fats, like flaxseed oil, primrose oil, and salmon oil. These fats helpful fats improve the overall texture of the hair and work to prevent brittle, dry hair.

 

Be Gentle on your Hair

If you are losing hair, be sure to avoid treating it roughly. Over brushing the hair, especially while it is wet is a source of hair damage and breakage. Do not use a fine toothed comb that is going to snag and rip at your hair. Do not use heat to dry it, air dry it so that you do not over dry your hair and make it brittle and weak. Do not towel dry your hair. Simply let your hair dry naturally, and brush it when it dries. A pick is a good replacement for your bristle brush or comb.

 

Increase the Silica in your Life

Silica keeps your hair looking shiny and sleek. Horsetail, an herb, is a great source of silica, and can help keep your hair healthy and strong.

 

Eat Food High in Biotin

Biotin is a critical ingredient for your body to have healthy hair and skin, and it has been linked to preventing hair loss in some men. It is easy to eat foods with a lot of biotin. Good sources are lentils, oats, walnuts, sunflower seeds, green peas, soybeans, and brown rice.

 

Vinegar & Sage Hair Rinse

A hair rinse made of vinegar and sage is said to be an herbal way stimulate hair growth. Fill a jar with vinegar and a few sprigs of fresh sage. Shake the jar once a day for a week to dispense the sage, and then dilute the solution 1/3cup to 3 cups water to rinse your hair.
