The Fastest Way to More Beautiful Hair: Five Time Savers

The Fastest Way to More Beautiful Hair: Five Time SaversYou want your hair to look its best all day, every day. But who`s got the time? You do, if you follow our five simple tips for the fastest way to more beautiful hair. While it may seem like your locks require daily maintenance that includes beauty products from all of the major food groups, and more electrical equipment than the energy plants of Manhattan could supply, your hair doesn`t need as much effort as you might think. A bit of TLC, a handful of key products and about five minutes is all you need for a fabulous hair day.

Skip the Shampoo

Okay, you might not want to make this too frequent of a habit, or you might find folks moving away from you in disgust on the subway. But there is no law that says hair has to be washed every single day. In fact, skipping a day now and then can prevent dryness, especially in the cold, dry days of winter. If you are worried that your hair still smells of last night`s office party, simply add a bit of freshening hair mist before heading out. Many companies now make these in a variety of yummy scents.

Go Dry

Remember the days when you would sprinkle the baby powder onto your head when you didn`t have time for a real sudsing? Your hair would look and smell fresher and cleaner, but those telltale white specks on your shoulders would raise some eyebrows. Today, there are spray-on dry shampoos that are much less messy and leave your hair looking as though you just stepped out of the shower. Another great choice for wash-free days.

Rediscover the Ponytail

This hairstyle has made a grand comeback in recent years – not that it ever went out of style completely. Today`s ponytail is sleek and sophisticated, with the aid of pomade, wax or shine serum to add extra oomph. Keep the bangs smoothed to the side of your face, and clip them with a funky barrette if they are long enough to grab. You can also use a headband or scarf around the front of your hairline, and then catch the long strands in the back into a ponytail holder. What a perfect opportunity to check out some of the hair jewelry today!

Pump up the Volume – Fast

Nobody likes limp locks, and the good news is that you don`t have to spend hours with your blow dryer to pump up the volume. First, apply a bit of volumizing spray to the roots of your hair, and then wrap sections around large Velcro rollers. Blow dry on a low temperature for a few minutes, and follow up with a light-hold hairspray. Remove the rollers and smooth your plumped up hair with your fingers.

Be Prepared

Just like a good scout, you need to keep a handy bag of supplies on hand for hair emergencies. A couple of sample-sized bottles of your favorite styling products, including a hairspray, are always good to have on hand. You can also keep a comb, brush and even a travel-sized blow dryer or curling iron with you. When a hair disaster strikes, you will be ready to save the day.

There are occasions where you will want to spend and exorbitant amount of time on your hair. Then there is the other 360 days of the year. Fast hair can be beautiful hair.
