Valentine`s Day: How to Achieve the In Love Look

How to Achieve the In Love LookBeing in love is a wonderful thing and when you’re actually in love it’s noticeable, but what do you do when you just want to simply “look in love” without having to commit to a relationship? Why not try faking it. By simply following our guide below, you can achieve the “In Love” look day or night without the commitment.

For a daytime “In Love” look, begin by applying a natural shade of blush to the apples of your cheeks, and blend with a light touch. Doing this before you apply your foundation along with the natural shade of blush will give you a radiant glow and give the illusion of being in love. Keep in mind that the lighter your skin tone, the lighter the shade of   blush you will want to use. The darker your skin tone, the darker the shade of blush you’ll want to use.

Next, apply a sheer foundation to any areas where your face needs it the most. Look for a foundation that meant for your skin type. If you have oily skin, stick with a foundation that is oil free. For dry skin, invest in a foundation with moisturizer in it.

Use a sheer eye shadow to accentuate the shape of your eyes. Stick with warmer shades like copper or golden tones. Add a coat of brown mascara to your lashes. To make your eyes look clearer and brighter, line your inner lower eyes with a white pencil.

For kissable dewy lips, apply a moisturizing lip balm. Apply a lipliner to define the shape of your lips by following the curve of both your upper and bottom lip. Apply a sheer gloss or pale lipstick using a lipbrush for more control. Choose pinks and nudes with a pale apricot shade if you have fair skin. For a medium complexion, choose a rose shade or nude peach. If you have an olive skin tone, opt for shades of brown or bronze. If you’ve chosen a lipstick instead of a gloss, finish the look with a clear lipgloss for a dewy look.

For a nighttime “In Love” look, apply a sheer foundation followed by a translucent powder. If it is needed use a concealer to hide any spots or dark circles you may have. For a soft glow, mix your foundation with a tinted moisturizer that is a shade darker than your skin tone.

For the cheeks apply a natural shade of blush that is close to your skin tone using a large fluffy brush.

Using a earth tone shade of eyeshadow, apply the shadow along your upper and lower lashline and smudge for a soft, romantic look. Apply an iridescent white shadow to your lids and take it up to your brow bone. Curl eyelashes with an eyelash curler for a more dramatic look and apply two coats of dark brown to black mascara.

To finish the look, Line your lips with a natural shade of lipliner and fill lips in with a gold gloss using a lip brush. For a little more drama, add a red lip stain and press into the center of your lips.

If you want to really pull the “In Love” look off, smile as if you are in love! Happy Valentines Day!
