Nature may not have blessed you with lips like Angelina Jolie, but you can enhance them with just a little effort. As with all beauty secrets, the real trick is getting into a daily routine.

Start with a soothing moisturizer or lip balm. The skin on your lips is tender and can become chapped easily. Often without even realizing it we lick our lips, and this can cause the skin to become dry. Winter weather can also be a culprit. Keep a moisturizing cream or lip balm in your purse. If you feel your lips becoming dry, give them a quick “treatment”.

For “fuller lips” no need to go through the implant process. There are numerous make-up products designed to enhance your lips. Products claiming to add volume to the lips are often expensive, and there isn’t significant proof that the over-the-counter lip enhancers actually augment lip size. Your best bet is to use the magic of make-up.

Many of the leading cosmetic companies manufacture marvelous lipsticks and liners, balms, and glosses which add a creamy glow to your lips. Many of them contain emollients and vitamins to keep lips moist and soft. Not only do these products feel good but these cosmetics will add the appearance of fullness.

You can also layer the products to create a fuller look. First use liner to define your mouth. Next fill in with one of the latest tones from this season’s color palate. Choose from colors that shimmer or pigments that create a soft matte finish. The wash of color will produce a full rich-looking mouth. Alone or in combination these techniques should provide the desired results.

One important tip! Never try to extend the line of your lips beyond their natural limit. It’s a dead give-away that you are trying to enhance what nature didn’t provide. With good products and time to practice you can have lips that are scene stealers!
