Makeup Tips for the 30 Something

Makeup Tips for the 30 SomethingThe 30’s are generally a busy time of life for many women; filled with a husband and children as well as a job. Don’t let an overloaded schedule keep you from looking your best with makeup tips that will help you to shine day or night. But before you head out to shop for new cosmetics, make sure that any makeup that you apply will have a good base by keeping your skin clean and well hydrated. Now is the time to make sure you are getting your eight glasses of water every day, since hydration of the skin becomes more of an issue as you bid farewell to your 20-something years. This is also a good time to incorporate an anti-aging product into your skin care regimen to keep those fine lines and wrinkles at bay. Once you’ve got your 30-something skin looking its best, it’s time to raid the makeup cabinet.

While this is a time of life where you can still go pretty natural with your makeup routine, you may see some discolorations to your skin in places that are the result of sun exposure. To ensure an even skin tone, you can switch to a foundation that will give you fuller coverage. One good choice is a stick foundation that is easy to use and provides the coverage that you need. Beyond the foundation, it is best to keep your makeup choices as light and natural as possible, to enhance the beauty that God gave you above all else.

First, a bit of blush on the apples of your cheeks for a healthy glow. To ensure that your blush stays put, you can begin with a powder blush and then finish with a cream in a similar shade. Stick with the softer shades of pink and peach that will look natural and offer just a hint of color. Eye shadows should be on the lighter sides as well, and there are plenty of choices that will coordinate well with your coloring. Consider going without the shadow during the day, and stick with a simple coat of mascara to help give your eyes definition.

Lipstick can range from the shades of pinks or browns to a simple gloss that will give you shine without much color. To help lipstick stay put, layer it by applying the lipstick to the lips first and then lining them with a pencil liner. For a more dramatic evening look, you can brink some shimmer to the eyes or to the lips, but don’t make up both features too much. Too much glitter will age you much too quickly at this stage of life! Look for products that will reflect the light to give your complexion a bright, radiant appearance.

Your 30’s can be a busy time of life, but it can also be a stage where beautiful skin and self confidence abound. Make the most of this time by using your makeup wisely to play up your assets and allow your inner you to truly shine. Thirty is indeed beautiful.
