Eyeliner may be one of the hardest makeup essentials to apply, but the good news is that today there are plenty of options in methods, styles and colors. Whether you love the dramatic effect of a liquid liner, or prefer the subtle look of a well blended kohl pencil, you will find that this season is sporting plenty of styles in all of the shades that you love. The nice feature about these eyeliner pots is that you can choose the look that you want to get from your makeup; from a smooth, deep line to a smudged line that will have the subtle look of a pencil. You can even take this technique a step further by using your own eyeshadow palettes as a liner. This method is becoming very popular these days, because it gives you an even greater choice of shades, and allows you to match your liner to your shadow perfectly. Simply moisten the tip of your eyeliner brush, dip into your shadow, and apply the perfect line to your upper and lower lid.

New Ways to Go Glam

If you are looking for a way to glam up your image for an evening on the town, check out some of the new eyeliner shades that offer a metallic glitz to give your eyes some additional glimmer. You can use these metallic liners in tandem with the metallic eyeshadows that are so popular this summer, or you can bring a hint of shimmer by adding the metallic liner to one of your more neutral shadow palettes. Try a copper eyeliner with your peach shadows, or a silver liner with your blue and grey shades. Your eyes are guaranteed to sparkle.
