7 Beauty Tools Guys Can’t Live Without

7 Beauty Tools Guys Can’t Live WithoutMost guys don’t boast a bathroom full of beauty products and fewer still have a clue what you’re talking about when you say “beauty products” for men, but we found out that there are some (7 to be exact) beauty secrets that, once they’ve tried them, guys admit they really don’t want to live without. Check out what beauty tools our guys like to have on hand.

1. Moisturizer. Depending on the climate and skin type, our guys either placed moisturizer at the top or bottom of their top 7 list, but all included it. “No one wants to be ashy and no one likes that tight feeling when your skin’s too dry. Here’s the thing though, if a moisturizer feels sticky, slimy or greasy I want nothing to do with it, and if it smells like my girlfriend, forget it. Smell-less moisturizers are what most guys I know are looking for and they need to disappear as soon as they hit my skin.”

2. Deodorant. “You might not consider this a beauty tool, but if we don’t have a powerful one that smells good, you girls aren’t going to find us very attractive and nothing else we use to make us look good is going to matter. You won’t be close enough to notice anything else anyway! Deodorant has to be on the list.”

3. Tweezers. We were surprised to find that not only did all our guys own tweezers but they were very particular about the type they liked. Once engaged in tweezer conversations, these manly men had a lot to say about plucking!

4. Exfoliants. From microdermabrasion to apricot scrubs, these boys all regularly use exfoliant products and like the results enough to have researched and tested products to find what worked best. “I play sports and ride quads in the dessert almost every weekend. My face is constantly in the sun, sweating and dirty. The first time I tried my wife’s microdermabrasion stuff I was amazed. It did make me breakout at first, but my skin looked way younger and felt clean. Truth? Even my [guy] friends noticed. They laughed, but now they use it too. No one wants to look older than they have to.”

5. Tinted Acne Treatment. So the acne treatment didn’t surprise us, but the tinted part did. “Every guy, especially anyone who spends time outside playing ball or working or anything that makes you sweat, needs acne treatment. And let’s be real, who wants to go on a date with a zit poppin’ out on your face. The tinted stuff gets rid of it and covers it up. Anything that cakes on your skin isn’t worth it. Then it looks like you’re wearing makeup and that’s way worse than a zit.”

6. Lip Balm. “Yeah, I use it! It’s not the same as lipstick…is it?” Not at all, and that’s a good thing because lip balm is a must have on our guys top 7 list. “At first I used it because chapped lips are the worst. But now I use it even when my lips aren’t chapped because a girl once told me she loved how soft my lips were. Need I say more?”

7. Hair Trimmers – the kind used in the nose and the ears. Most of our guys said they were bummed when they had to start using them, “It’s a sign you’re getting older.” The guys under 28 agreed, but admitted that the moment they see the need for clippers, they won’t wait a day to purchase theirs. “It’s just good grooming, and everyone appreciates that.”
