Aftershave is great for soothing a man’s complexion after shaving. If you don’t want to make a trip to the store to buy a new bottle of aftershave, why not create your own? All you need to do is combine the following ingredients into a bottle of your choice and shake well: 8 drops of neroli essential/fragrance oil, 5 tablespoons of orange flower water, 10 drops of lemon essential/fragrance oil, 15 drops of bergamot essential/fragrance oil, 5 tablespoons of cider vinegar, and 3 tablespoons of witch hazel. After you’ve shaken this mixture thoroughly, allow it to sit undisturbed in a dark and cool area for about one week. To keep the mixture fresh, be sure to shake the bottle once a day. Once the week has passed, your homemade aftershave will be good to go!
Cologne can be pretty pricy, especially for the top notch brands. Not everyone can afford to spend their money on such products so it helps to know how to make your own. And it’s not as hard as you think. You’ll need the following ingredients: 15 drops of bergamot essential/fragrance oil, 2 drops of vanilla essential/fragrance oil, 3 drops of sandalwood essential/fragrance oil, 3 drops of cedarwood essential/fragrance oil, and ½ pint (300 ml) of alcohol or vodka (70%). Once you’ve got the ingredients together, take the alcohol and pour it into a bottle or jar. Now add your oils and shake the combination well. Shake once a day for up to one week before use. This particular combination of scents will create an aphrodisiac effect that will have your lucky lady seeing stars.
Of course we can’t leave the ladies fragrances out of the picture! Do you love body sprays? These products are great for smelling fragrant while on the go, and even though most body sprays are fairly priced, why deal with the stores and the lines when you can enjoy a body spray that’s all your own?
If you love the smell of citrus, you’ll fall head over heels for this body spray recipe: mix one tablespoon each of orange and lemon peels that have been freshly chopped, with 3 tablespoons of vodka in a jar with an air-tight cover and let the mixture stand for one week. Afterwards, strain the liquid and add 2 cups of distilled water, 5 drops of lemon verbena essential/fragrance oil, 10 drops mandarin essential/fragrance oil, and 10 drops of orange essential/fragrance oil to the remaining content. Once you’ve done that, store the body spray mixture in a dark and cool place for two weeks, while making sure to shake the jar once a day.
