What they Contain and are they Worth it
SD alcohol 40-B, Butane, Hydrofluorocarbon 152A, Fragrance and Isopropyl Myristate are just a few of the ingredients found in men’s body sprays.
SD alcohol 40-B is a denatured version of the alcohol we find in wines, beers, etc.
It is a fast drying liquid used in cosmetic, deodorant sprays and other health and beauty products.
Butane is a highly flammable gas used mostly as a fuel for cooking and for lighters, but is also used as a propellant in aerosol sprays and even some rubber made products.
Hydrofluorocarbon 152A is a combination of hydrogen, fluorine and carbon atoms. Hydrofluorocarbon was introduced as a safer alternative to the ozone layer. It is used mostly as a propellant in aerosol sprays. Even though it is classified as a safer alternative, Hydrofluorocarbon is still dangerous to the ozone layer.
Fragrance is a pleasantly sweet odor used to make beauty and household products to give it an enjoyable aroma. Fragrance is found in almost everything from manufactured products to mother nature.
Isopropyl Myristate is an easily spreadable compound of isopropyl alcohol and myristic acid and is meant to give a dry feeling. It is used in antiperspirants, deodorants and some creams in minimal amounts since it has been known to cause skin irritation and can also clog pores.
As obvious as it is, the ingredients contained in the body sprays are only safe when used respectively as any other liquid spray would be. Is it really going to make guys irresistible to women? Probably not, but the sprays do have some really nice smelling scents. But it is doubtful that the scent will last all day long as some manufacturers claim. However if it’s combined with a similar smelling deodorant in moderation, the body sprays can last a little longer than they would on their own. If it’s used on its own, the spray comes in handy for a quick cover-up of odors, but it’s only since the sprays do not contain antiperspirant. It’s more or less a lighter and more reasonably priced version of a cologne when used in moderation of course.
The bottom line is no body spray or cologne for that matter is going to win the heart of a woman or get them in bed with a guy. But if he’s just looking to smell good, then the body sprays are worth a try.
