Must-Have Beauty Products for Men

Must-Have Beauty Products for MenThese days there is no shame in a man taking pride in his appearance or developing his own skincare routine. In fact, the beauty industry has seen a rise in the numbers of male consumers. From designer skincare brands to spa treatments just for men, the desire to age gracefully has become just as important to men as their female counterparts. Of course all men have to start somewhere and having the right must-have items in their skincare collection is a great place to begin.

Without realizing it, the years tend to fly by and if you haven’t been paying attention to your beauty and skincare routine, chances are you may not like what you see in the mirror a few years down the line. To avoid such an outcome, men should start taking action early on - even when it comes to anti-aging and male beauty products. Although men are notorious for aging better physically than women, there is still a need for a daily skincare routine. In case you’re not sure which items to house permanently on your bathroom counter, having any or all of the male beauty products listed below will get you off on the right track.

Multivitamins

Yes, multivitamins should play a role when it comes to your male beauty product arsenal. Why? The most obvious reason is that taking multivitamins on a daily basis is a great way to provide the body with the proper levels of vitamins and minerals that are often missing from a person’s daily eating regimen. Even the most health conscious men can’t accurately calculate the amount of vitamins and minerals they consume each day. The multivitamins do the hard work for you. With the right kind, a man can easily enjoy not just a healthier immune system, but healthier skin as well due to the multivitamin’s ability to fight against free radical damage. Make sure to choose a product that is formulated for your lifestyle. For example, there are multivitamins formulated for men ages 50 and older, as well as active/athletic types.

Eye Cream

Looking manly and rugged is one thing but looking tired and haggard is quite another. Men that want to age well will want to put a quality eye cream product at the top of their male beauty products list. By using this item twice a day (once in the morning and once before bed) is enough to ward off the signs of premature aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles as you get older. While there is no way to completely prevent wrinkles and fine lines from cropping up altogether, the nutrients in the eye cream will treat the current fine lines while slowing down the process of aging, making it more difficult for new fine lines to appear. Because of the richness of the ingredients in eye cream, only a light application is needed.

Exfoliating Body Wash

Each time a man shaves his face, exfoliation occurs, which is the act of removing layers of dead skin cells. However, it is just as important to exfoliate your entire body as well as your complexion. Getting rid of dry, flaky, dead skin cells allows newer, vibrant cells to emerge. This results in a youthful, softer and brighter appearance of the skin. Make sure to exfoliate from head to toe twice a month using an exfoliating product formulated to be gentle on the skin. Anti-aging exfoliating products are those that contain beta and/or alpha-hydroxy acids.
