Gray hairs have always been considered a negative sign of aging but more and more people are starting to see them in a different light. Aging occurs naturally no matter what we do so why not let your grays grow in naturally as well? Older men may be concerned about what others will think of them - mainly the opposite sex - if they have gray hairs on their head, moustache and/or beard. If you’re one of them, you may want to take some time out to think about the best course to choose. Committing to dying gray hairs may be effective but also annoying. Regardless of what color you use to cover them up, they will come back. This means you’ll have to make a concentrated effort to either dye your grays yourself or make an appointment to have a professional do it for you. Although it may not cost a lot, the amount can add up in the long term. Additionally, if you are an older gentleman, having darker hair may make you look unnatural. Let’s face it: some guys are meant to go gray but that doesn’t mean you can’t look great at the same time.
If you’ve only got a few pesky grays on your head or in your facial hair then dying is probably the best solution but for those experiencing large amounts of gray, you may want to consider letting nature take its course. Gray hairs on older men can make them look sexy, dashing and charming. Just look at some of Hollywood’s leading men: Sir Sean Connery, George Clooney and Harrison Ford. These studs have no problem with going gray and they look even sexier than they did when they were younger. If your grays work for you then sport it. You can even have the option of dying your hair so that it is a uniformly gray shade. Of course you should turn to a professional hair stylist if you want to pursue this method.
Before jumping onto the hair dying bandwagon, give your gray hairs a chance. Take some time to see how it grows in and decide then if you want to keep them around of get rid of them. Whether you dye your grays, allow a mixture of salt and pepper or let your grays come in naturally, the most important thing is that you are happy with how you look.
