A number of surveys and articles about what guys really want in the girl they’ll fall in love with have surfaced yet again. This is nothing new, but the contradiction seems to rage on – if guys really want “real” girls then why do they keep dumping them or, at the very least, forget they’re having a conversation with them with a stacked blonde walks by (a nice stereotype of its own)? We wanted to know the truth from some “real” guys we know. Here’s what they had to say when asked this question: What will be (or was) sexy enough to make you say, “I do?”  

Brandon, age 17: Married? I don’t know. That’s about a million years away.

Next question: Who would you rather take to the prom, a girl from your class or Pamela Anderson?

Brandon: laughs, and obviously considers this! Can it be the hottest girl in my class? Then I’d take her. Pamela Anderson is…yeah, but she’s too…Barbie doll and…what would I do with all that? I think she’d expect too much cause she looks like that.

Colin, age 22: Hey if she’s smart and funny and wants to pay for all her stuff to be bigger, better, flatter, whatever then more power to her… but then other guys are always gonna be checkin her out and she might get sick of me if one of them looks better than I do. Maybe I’ll stick with smart and funny and not ugly.

Mason, age 28: I’m married now and what’s so sexy about my wife is that she just jokes about the parts she doesn’t like but she doesn’t hide under baggy clothes or anything. If she wanted to get plastic surgery on anything, I’d let her, but I don’t need it to find her sexy or even think about it.

Josh, age 28: I would totally find it sexy for a girl to have perfected every part of her body. I would marry that in a heartbeat.

Richard, age 33: When I married my wife, my brain got fried and my definition of sexy became her and all that she is. There could never be anyone as sexy as she is. It just wouldn’t be possible. It’s not about how tight or perfect anything is it’s that she’s the one and that’s super sexy all by itself.

Tony, age 34: I agree. My wife gained weight when she had our twins and she hates it. I look at her and now I see sexy in a whole new way. I’m not just saying that. SHE is what sexy is – there isn’t anything else. I’m not saying I don’t see really pretty or enhanced girls – I live in Vegas! But I bounce my eyes because I’d never want that instead of my wife. Those girls are very nice and smart, I’m sure, but they’re striking – like a Ferrari and that’s way different than sexy like my wife is. Sexy is a lot more than just looks to me now. And it’s way better!

We asked about 50 guys this question and chose the answers that statistically represented what we heard. By the way, they were all in Vegas either on vacation or they live here, so they had two very distinct versions of “sexy” all around them – girls who are just as they are and girls who are… enhanced.
