Toxins enter our body everyday, whether we want them to or not. Organs such as the liver, kidneys, lungs, intestines and skin work hard to eliminate these toxins on a daily basis but sometimes they need a little help. Having too many toxins can cause a real threat to your health if allowed to accumulate in the bloodstream. This can result in illness, pain and discomfort, fatigue and other uncomfortable symptoms. Eating too much processed food over the years as well as leading an unhealthy life without proper diet or exercise can cause the accumulation of toxins in the body.
Detoxifying your entire body is one of the fastest ways to kick toxins to the curb. There are more detox programs than you can count, so there are plenty of options to choose from. Take time to find a detox program that fits your needs and lifestyle. Never take on more than you can handle. Most programs last from three to seven days and are only needed once a year. For a daily detox that won’t compromise your health, there are changes that can be made to your diet and skin care, along with supplements that can detoxify your body safely.
Most detox programs involve only eating certain foods or sticking to a very strict diet. Many popular detox programs use special shakes or other beverages to quickly give your body the nutrients it needs to get rid of toxins effectively. Consult with a doctor or nutritionist before going on any detox program. What works for one person may not work for another and you don’t want to risk your health. These programs aren’t for everyone and those with chronic diseases or fragile health aren’t advised to follow such a regimen.
It is possible to detoxify your body in other ways, namely through your skin care and the foods you eat. Poor circulation can contribute to physical ailments. The appearance of cellulite can be caused by poor circulation and the accumulation of toxins as well, which allows it to gather in fatty deposits in the skin. Exfoliating and massaging your body promotes better circulation, breaking up fatty deposits, reducing the appearance of cellulite and relaxing aching joints and other problem areas. Vigorously massage lotion or cream into your skin after stepping out of the shower or bath to keep the circulation going.
Eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables. Always provide your body with the best nutrients in the form of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids, carbohydrates, proteins and fatty acids.
