Can You Ever Truly Prevent Acne?

Prevent Acne If you ever suffer from acne, or if you know somebody who is suffering from acne, you will know how frustrating and upsetting the condition can be. Many sufferers become extremely depressed and experience a considerable drop in their self esteem. So, is there any possible way to prevent the condition entirely? Unfortunately no; nevertheless, there are ways to reduce your chances of developing it.

Preventing Acne Breakouts

Some people try everything to prevent and cure their acne and there is a wide variety of products out there to choose from which claim to cure it. Go into any supermarket or pharmacy and you will see rows of acne curing products all claiming to give quick results within a short amount of time. However, most of the time these products simply do not work. Here are some ways in which you can try and prevent your acne from flaring up:

Always Remove Any Make-up You Are Wearing At Night

This one is mainly for women, but it is an essential tip. If you leave your make up on at night it will clog up your pores, leaving your skin looking dull, as well as encourage the acne to flare up. This may seem like too much hassle when you are tired and eager to go to sleep; however, it is really worth it if you are prone to acne breakouts.

Additional tips to prevent acne are:

·    Try to have balanced diet and avoid "junk" food

·    Avoid the use of comedogenic products

·    It is a good idea to have a deep-clean facial periodically, which will clean your pores thoroughly

·    Your pillow case accumulates dirt, so it is a good idea to change it quite regularly

As a rule of thumb, it is always better to keep the skin as clean as possible. Although this might not always prevent acne, it simply gives you a better chance of not developing it at all. Use a gentle cleanser daily; however, be careful not to over-clean your skin, as it can cause irritation and dryness.

While it is not always possible to prevent acne entirely, there are certain measures you can take in order improve your skin`s condition and help your skin become less susceptible to it.
