DIY Acne Facial Treatment Recipes

DIY Acne Facial Treatment RecipesWho says recipes only have to be limited to the food you eat? These days, many people are using DIY recipes when it comes to skincare matters. In fact, a number of the recipes in use today have been around for years. Oftentimes, families pass down their own special skincare treatments from generation to generation. The great thing about DIY recipes is that there are varieties that use ingredients that are not only effective in treating certain conditions, but can easily be found around the house.

Acne sufferers tend to deal with the most problems in terms of daily skincare. From blemishes to breakouts, even using specially formulated skincare products (both over-the-counter as well as prescription) may not be enough to get the results desired. Luckily, there are plenty of DIY facial treatments for acne prone skin. It is important to note that each recipe should be tested on a small patch of skin for allergies before applying any of the following facial treatments onto a person’s complexion. Additionally, it is best to stay away from recipes that contain ingredients you know you are already allergic to. Substituting ingredients is also not advised, unless the instructions specifically state that this is okay.

Clay masks are among one of the most popular DIY facial treatments for keeping the signs of acne at bay. There are many different types of clay that can be purchased at online skincare websites or at local stores that sell organic products. Green clay in particular has natural properties that absorb excess oil, which is ideal for acne prone skin. To put together this DIY recipe, you’ll need one tablespoon of green clay, three drops of palmaorsa essential oil and one teaspoon of apricot kernel oil. First, combine the apricot kernel oil and palmarosa essential oils together, along with a couple drops of warm water for dilution. Next, add in the green clay and mix until a paste forms. If it gets too chunky, add more water until the paste has a consistency that allows it to be spread over the skin. Apply the clay mask to your complexion and let it sit until it dries. Then remove by gently wiping the mask off using a washcloth soaked in warm water.

The next acne facial treatment recipe is not only easy to make, it also contains delicious ingredients that can be found in any kitchen. You’ll need one tablespoon of honey, one ripe banana and one lemon. Mash together the banana and honey to create a paste. Squeeze a couple drops of lemon and mix well. Apply to the face and let sit for about 15 minutes, then remove using a warm washcloth or cool washcloth.

Need a reliable and effective DIY acne facial treatment that has the ability to spot-treat problem pimples? Then you’ll definitely want to give the following recipe a try. You will need these ingredients: warm honey, 1-3 aspirin tablets, a shallow dish and a coffee cup. Take the aspirin tablets and crush them by rolling the coffee cup over them. Next, pour the crushed aspirin into your shallow dish and add a few drops of water and mix to create a paste. Next, add the honey and continue stirring. Once the paste is ready, dab it onto the problem pimple or area and wait for it to dry. After about 10 minutes, simply rinse it off with warm water.
