What Are Amino Acids?
To consider all of the variations of amino acids is overwhelming and unnecessary to the layman, but they can be categorized into two separate groups, each varying in effectiveness in it`s treatment of premature aging. There are both "Neuro" peptides and "Penta" peptides, with endless variations in each group. These peptides are small proteins which are characterized by their effectiveness and safety in minute doses when used by the body. Neuropeptides are especially known for their powerful ability to affect cells, improving cell interaction and immunity and increasing the quality of cell communication.
What Does This Mean For Skin Care?
The numerous amino-acid anti-aging products on the market today vary in their quality and effectiveness, ranging from products that have a fair amount of research and use to back up their claims, to newly developed products that continue to produce quality reviews, and those amino-acid products that are not widely marketed or researched. The continuing research into the benefits of amino-acid treatment for premature aging, has given rise to several products that have previously been used in the treatment of such skin problems as scarring and stretch marks, but are now marketed as successful anti-aging treatments, such as Strivectin-SD.
Can Amino Acids Treat Your Premature Aging?
Amino acids have been shown to provide consumers with many benefits and treatment options in the fight against premature aging. Many consumers opt for amino acid treatments over alpha-hydroxy treatments due to the fact that the treatments are more powerful, produce more dramatic results, are not as photosensitizing to the skin, and result in less irritation than alpha-hydroxy treatments. Amino acid treatments, available in at-home care versions and in salon treatments, act by attaching to skin cells to fill in lines and make skin appear smoother, in addition to improving skin tone and color, providing exfoliation, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and minimizing the appearance of photodamage.
