Beauty Begins with Eye Health

Eye HealthThe focal point of your face is your eyes. To make a good impression you want to look someone straight in the eye and know that what they see is you and all of your inner and outer beauty. If your eyes are unhealthy or if you have vision problems, your eyes can experience a variety of common problems that can make them look and feel miserable. The faster you can treat your symptoms and get to the root to the problem, the more beautiful your eyes will look and feel. There are many ways that your diet and the way you treat eyes can support their health, inside and out. Here are a few tips that anyone can keep in mind to maintain health and beauty in the eyes:

 

Try Herbal Solutions

There are several herbs that are said to be beneficial for eye health and eyesight. Eyebright can be taken orally in capsule form, in a tea, and can also be used externally as an eye wash. Use it in the form of a wash if your eyes need a flush and also need help eliminating redness and irritation. The wash can also be used on pieces of cloth soaked with it as a compress over the eye. Bilberry extract is said to increase normal and night vision, and bayberry bark, cayenne pepper, and red raspberry leaves are all considered beneficial for overall eye health.

 

Veggies Please!

There are many vegetables that you probably already eat in your diet that are recommended for eye health. Raw cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, squash, sunflower seeds, watercress, and all green vegetables are beneficial for your eyes. Drinking fresh carrot juice regularly is also said to be a way to help alleviate some eye problems. Eliminating granulated sugar and white flour from your diet is also said to be beneficial for your eyes.

 

Increase Your Vitamin A

Vitamin A helps alleviate many common problems with the eyes such as bloodshot eye, spots on the outer membrane of the eye, and inflammation around the edges of the eyelids. It is beneficial in treating all eye disorders.

 

Take You Eyes Seriously

Eye disturbances are often a sign that something is wrong somewhere else in the body, so if you are having serious eye concerns you should consult a physician to make sure they, and all of the rest of your body parts are properly functioning.
