Take your Vitamins
Sure, vitamins are great for our bodies, but they work well on the eyes as well. Vitamin E has long been touted as a healer of skin and great for the complexion. Vitamin C is well known for its antioxidant properties that will fight the aging process with a vengeance. But what about vitamin K? This handy little nutrient is now cropping up in some eye creams with the claim that it will fade dark circles under the eye, making you appear bright-eyed and bushy-tailed to the world. Tests show that when creams containing this vitamin are applied at night, your dark circles will significantly fade by morning.
Let`s go Herbal
Natural ingredients are often preferred to their synthetic counterparts for a variety of reasons, and eye treatments are no exception. Ginkgo bilboa is now showing up in some eye creams, because it is an effective way to improve the blood flow under the eyes. When the blood flows freely, it can`t pool up to cause the dark circles and tired appearance. Try it for a few days and see if your circles begin to lighten up. Botanical antioxidants like green tea and grape seed can also be found in some eye treatments because of their ability to soothe the skin and work against free radical damage. Plus, it just sounds good to apply these gentle ingredients to such a sensitive area of the skin.
Give your Eyes a Lift
Lifting spheres are also on the ingredient list of some eye care products. These spheres will hunker down under the surface of your skin to capture the moisture that is found there. The moisture will cause the spheres to swell, which will smooth out the fine lines and wrinkles that are showing up around your eyes. You can see the results almost instantaneously once the cream is applied. Another ingredient that will restore elasticity to this delicate area while reducing fine lines is glycerin. You can find glycerin in some of the more economical brands of eye treatments, but don`t let the price tag fool you. This is a good way to brighten and firm the area around the eyes.
Our eyes work hard for us every day, and they deserve the best ingredients to help them look great. Check out what`s new in eye creams, including some of these exciting new ingredients. Here`s to beautiful eyes!
