L’Oréal’s annual Legends Gala was another smashing success with over $4.3 million raised for ovarian cancer research. The event was held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
Sherry Lansing of The Sherry Lansing Foundation, and Richard A. Baker of NRDC Equity Partners received The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) Legends Award. Awards also went to Mindy Gray, board member of OCRF, and Jonathan Gray, senior managing director of The Blackstone Group.
The event featured a silent auction, a cocktail reception, dinner and entertainment. Also in attendance were Milla Jovovich, Diane Keaton, Dayle Haddon, Andie MacDowell and Linda Evangelista, spokespeople for the beauty brand.
L’Oréal has been actively involved with the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund since 1997. It hopes to raise the public consciousness about the disease and aid in finding a cure.
