French group, PPR, has credited their beauty brands for helping them achieve “outstanding profits” for the first half of 2007. Contributing to the Group’s overall profit were YSL Beauté and fragrance lines Stella McCartney, Yves Saint Laurent, Roger & Gallet and Boucheron (which creates and markets both jewelry and fragrances).
According to PPR’s press release, its focus on its beauty brands moved its revenue breakdown from 87:13 to 92:8. The PPR group’s overall sales so far this year rose by 11.4 percent over the corresponding period for 2006 resulting in sales of €9.24 billion.
PPR is located in 75 countries across the globe and is known for its retail and luxury brands.
