A recent survey revealed major differences between the plastic surgery practices between Americans and British patients. While breast augmentation is the number one procedure in both countries, far more British women go in for breast reduction than their American counterparts. Statistics from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons revealed that for every two breast augmentation procedures completed, there is one breast reduction surgery. In the US, statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons showed that for every 12 breast augmentations done, less than one breast reduction procedure was performed.

The same survey of the two plastic surgery societies revealed that nose jobs are increasing in the UK, moving up 13 percent while it is down by seven percent in the USA.
