Recent images of Catherine Zeta-Jones online have created quite a buzz. According to reports, the Welsh actress was seen at the UN Association Global Leadership Awards Gala with enlarged pores and uncharacteristic redness, visible even through her makeup. A Harley Street plastic surgeon quoted online, theorized that Ms. Zeta-Jones was showing signs of sun damage. He said “Her skin is in serious need of hydration after so much damage.”

For all the negative comments however, she still had her supporters. Dr Joanna Longstaffe of the Independent General Practice based in the UK said, “She’s simply had a bad skin day.” She added, “There’s a small break-out on her chin but we all get that don’t we?”

Zeta-Jones is married to actor Michael Douglas. She won a best supporting actress Oscar for her role in the 2002 musical, Chicago.
